N. Korea hoping to improve ties with Japan, U.S.: Kim
ATAMI, Japan - South Korean President Kim Dae Jung (L) tells a press conference on Sept. 23 at a hotel in Atami, southwest of Tokyo, that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il hopes to improve with Japan and the United States. The press conference, held after a Japan-South Korea summit in the hot spring resort, was attended by Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori (R).
