Kuroyanagi wins UNICEF's 'Leadership for Children Award'

NEW YORK, United States - Japanese TV personality Tetsuko Kuroyanagi beams her pleasure after winning the first United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) ''Leadership for Children Award'' at the UNICEF headquarters in New York on Oct. 24. Kuroyanagi, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, has drawn in more than $25 million in donations from the Japanese public since she was appointed to the position in 1984.
