Tax men investigate diplomat involved in embezzlement

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows an apartment block in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward that is home to Katsutoshi Matsuo, a sacked Foreign Ministry official suspected of embezzling government funds. Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau officials visited the apartment on Feb. 7 to begin examining his accounts at four banks to determine whether any taxation should be imposed.
