Shinjo leaves for U.S. to join N.Y. Mets spring training

NARITA, Japan - Tsuyoshi Shinjo (L) and his wife Shiho leave Narita airport, east of Tokyo, for the United States on Feb. 8 to prepare for spring training with the New York Mets. The former Hanshin Tigers outfielder will stay in New York for several days before heading to Florida to join the National League club's camp beginning on Feb. 21.
