LDP's Koga agrees on halt to Isahaya Bay reclamation project
TOKYO, Japan - Makoto Koga (R), secretary general of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), poses during a meeting with a group of fishermen from Fukuoka Prefecture at the party headquarters in Tokyo on March 1. Koga said later a controversial state-run land reclamation project in Isahaya Bay in Nagasaki Prefecture should be halted and that water gates should be reopened to allow investigation of the cause of a poor seaweed crop in the area.
