U.S. expression of regret is step in right direction: China

BEIJING, China - Sun Yuxi, deputy director general of the Chinese Foreign Ministry's Information Department, holds a press conference in Beijing on April 5 on a collision between a U.S. surveillance plane and a Chinese jet fighter. He said an earlier U.S. expression of regret was ''a step in the right direction.'' However, he reiterated that the U.S. must assume full responsibility for the collision, in which the Chinese pilot went missing.
