Doctor says produced 1st surrogate birth in Japan
NAGANO, Japan - Suwa Maternity Clinic Director Yahiro Netsu meets the press on May 19 to announce he has helped a woman become the first surrogate mother in Japan. The woman successfully gave birth at the clinic in the town of Shimosuwa in Nagano Prefecture, central Japan, this spring for her sister, who had undergone a hysterectomy.
