Inamine requests fewer U.S. bases in talks with Omi
NAHA, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine (R, standing) reads out to Koji Omi (far L), state minister for Okinawa affairs, the prefecture's demands concerning the planned relocation of the heliport functions of the U.S. Marine Corps' Futemma Air Station at the prefectural government in Naha on June 4. The governor requested that the central government proceed with the relocation and reduction of U.S. bases in Okinawa Prefecture.
