APEC ministers agree to strive to launch WTO round

SHANGHAI, China - Trade ministers from 21 Pacific Rim economies hold a joint press conference June 7 in Shanghai after ending the two-day ministerial meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. They expressed strong support for the November launch of a new round of multilateral trade talks under the auspices of the World Trade Organization.
