S. Korean media firms probed for tax evasion

SEOUL, South Korea - Son Young Lae, commissioner of the Seoul Regional Tax Office, speaks at a press conference in Seoul on June 29 to announce the decision to refer six newspaper companies and some of their owners to prosecutors on suspicion of violating tax laws. The six firms are Chosun Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo, JoongAng Ilbo, Hankook Ilbo, Korea Daily News and Kukmin Ilbo.
