Koizumi begins stumping tour for upper house poll
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who is also president of the Liberal Democratic Party, begins his campaign for the July 29 House of Councillors election in Tokyo's Yurakucho on July 12. The election is the first nationwide poll since he became prime minister in late April.
