Beijing celebrates winning 2008 Olympics

BEIJING, China - Overjoyed Beijing residents erupted in cheers late July 13 at the decision of the International Olympic Committee to award the 2008 Games to the Chinese capital. Crowds of thousands at a state-sponsored celebration at the China Millennium Terrace cheered and waved flags as fireworks lit up the sky for nearly an hour.
