Fujitsu group to cut 16,400 jobs under restructuring plan

TOKYO, Japan - Fujitsu Ltd. President Naoyuki Akikusa (R) announces the company's major restructuring plan at a news conference at its head office Aug. 20 in Tokyo. Under the plan, Fujitsu will cut its group workforce by 9%, or 16,400 jobs, at home and abroad.
