Japanese ship arrives in Hawaii for Ehime Maru salvage
HONOLULU, United States - The 5,450-ton Chihaya, a Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force submarine rescue ship, arrives in Honolulu Aug. 20 to take part in the salvage of the Ehime Maru, a Japanese high school fisheries training vessel. The ship was struck and sunk by a U.S. nuclear-powered submarine on Feb. 9.
