Daiei manager Oh visits high school pitcher Terahara

NICHINAN, Japan - Daiei Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh (R) shakes hands with Hayato Terahara, an 18-year-old star pitcher at Nichinan Gakuen High School in Miyagi Prefecture, at the school Oct. 29. Oh and three Daiei officials visited the school before Terahara's departure for the World Cup tournament, which gets underway Nov. 6 in Taiwan, in a bid to convey the Pacific League club's eagerness to sign him.
