DPJ's Hatoyama reluctant to pursue opposition alliance
TOKYO, Japan - Yukio Hatoyama, leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), addresses a party meeting in Tokyo on Dec. 11. He expressed reluctance to forming an alliance with other opposition parties, saying he wants to pursue policies he thinks will benefit the public even if other opposition parties are against them.
