Kinkakuji Temple covered with snow

KYOTO, Japan - Kyoto's Kinkakuji Temple, or the Golden Pavilion, is covered with snow Jan. 3 as snow continued to blanket western to northern areas of Japan. The mercury plummeted to the season's lowest temperature so far of minus 2.8 C in the ancient Japanese capital on the day.
