Courts ask state, firms to compensate all 20 CJD plaintiffs
TOKYO, Japan - Plaintiffs in a suit demanding compensation for the victims of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) enter the Tokyo District Court on Feb. 22, carrying photos of those who have died of the disease. The Tokyo and Otsu district courts recommended the state and companies sued by (CJD) victims jointly pay 60 million yen, on average, in redress to each of the 20 plaintiffs.
