Asia needs to prove quality to get extra World Cup berth: Blatter

TOKYO, Japan - FIFA president Sepp Blatter addresses a meeting held in Tokyo on Feb. 27 between FIFA and the general secretaries of the Japan and South Korean organizing committees for the 2002 World Cup finals. Blatter said Asian countries need to prove at this year's World Cup that they should get an extra qualifying berth at the 2006 tournament.
