Texan not cramped in tiny 'chashitsu' tearoom workplace
KYOTO, Japan - Gary Soka Cadwallader (L) teaches his students ''chado,'' the way of tea, in the ''chashitsu'' (tearoom) at the Urasenke school of tea in Kyoto. Cadwallader, from Texas, was made a tea master in the summer of 1997 by the Urasenke house, one of the three Sen families that have been practicing chado since the 16th century. By Isao Morishita
