Yuji Hyakutake, who discovered 'Comet Hyakutake,' dies at 51
KAGOSHIMA, Japan - Yuji Hyakutake, an amateur astronomer, died April 10 in Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, from internal bleeding due to a heart aneurysm, his family said April 11. He was 51. He discovered ''Comet Hyakutake'' on Jan. 30, 1996, using powerful binoculars in the town of Hayato in Kagoshima.
