Hokkaido University develops 'bloodless' blood sugar tester
SAPPORO, Japan - A researcher at Hokkaido University in Sapporo demonstrates a newly developed device which can measure the blood sugar level of diabetic patients without drawing blood. The system directs a light beam with a wavelength in the near-infrared spectrum onto a patient's arm.
