Kyocera to make Toshiba Chemical wholly owned unit Aug. 1

TOKYO, Japan - Yasuo Nishiguchi (R), president of Kyocera Corp., and Iwao Yamazaki, president of Toshiba Chemical Corp, shake hands at a news conference at a Tokyo hotel on May 16. They announced that Kyocera Corp. will make Toshiba Chemical Corp. a wholly owned subsidiary through an equity swap on Aug. 1.
