Kagoshima residents remove heavy oil from shore

KAGOSHIMA, Japan - Residents in Osaki, Kagoshima Prefecture, on July 30 remove heavy oil washed ashore from the 36,080-ton Panamanian-registered freighter Co-Op Venture (R, background) which ran aground July 25 in Shibushi Bay and broke into two in stormy weather.
