Japanese NGOs to be more active, monitor gov't at WSSD
TOKYO, Japan - Mitsutoshi Hayakawa, managing director of the Osaka-based Citizens' Alliance for Saving the Atmosphere and the Earth (CASA), speaks in an interview with Kyodo News. He said Japanese nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) are planning to play a greater role and monitor government activities at the upcoming summit on sustainable development in South Africa.
