Tokyu Dept. subsidiary falsely labeled beef

TOKYO, Japan - Atsuo Inoue (R), president of Central Foods Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyu Department Store Co., and Hidehiko Soma (2nd from R), managing director of Tokyu Store Chain Co., apologize in Tokyo on Aug. 13 for a false labeling scam in which Central Foods passed off Yamagata Prefecture beef as ''Matsusaka'' beef, Japan's most prestigious brand.
