Robbers shoot 2 guards, steal 10 mil. yen at bank

YOKOHAMA, Japan - Policemen check the site where a group of three or four men shot two security guards at a Shonan Shinkin Bank branch in central Yokohama on Aug. 21 and stole about 10 million yen from a cash-transporting vehicle before they fled.

                TOKYO, Japan - Police investigate a site in Tokyo's Ueno where three gunmen stole four bags from a bank truck Dec. 19. The three fired several shots and wounded a security guard in the arm. They fled the scene after taking the bags, which contained documents belonging to a company affiliated with Tokai Bank. The truck was loaded with business documents to be delivered to its affiliate. It is also used to deliver cash to bank branches.
