NKK, Kawasaki Steel set up firm ahead of integration

TOKYO, Japan - Kanji Emoto (R), chairman of JFE Holdings Inc., and Yoichi Shimogaichi, JFE Holdings president, attend a news conference in Tokyo on Sept. 27, the same day NKK Corp. and Kawasaki Steel Corp. set up the joint holding company as the first step in forming the JFE Group and becoming the world's fourth largest integrated steelmaker.
