Privatization not key issue at postal conversion body: Okuda
TOKYO, Japan - Hiroshi Okuda, chairman of the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren), speaks at a news conference at his office in Tokyo on Oct. 15. Okuda denied privatization of postal services will be a focal issue in deliberations at a preparatory committee to set up a public corporation to take over the state-run services. The committee ''is not a meeting to discuss privatization,'' Okuda, chairman of the 14-member panel, said following its first session earlier in the day.
