Fire-damaged Diamond Princess towed to repair dock
NAGASAKI, Japan - The 113,000-ton cruise ship Diamond Princess is towed by tugboats in Nagasaki Bay on Oct. 21 to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.'s dock in Koyagi, Nagasaki Prefecture, to repair damage sustained in a fire on Oct. 1. The vessel, owned by P&O Princess Cruises PLC of Britain, was launched in May, but caught fire while undergoing finishing work at another Mitsubishi dock in Nagasaki.
