Huge aquarium opens in Okinawa Pref.
NAHA, Japan - Visitors stand in front of a 7,500-ton tank, one of the world's largest, at the Okinawa Chura aquarium in the town of Motobu, Okinawa Prefecture, on Nov. 1, the opening day of the state-run aquarium. The aquarium was constructed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the return of Okinawa to Japan after 27 years of U.S. military rule.
