Woods still favors allowing women at Augusta National
MIYAZAKI, Japan - World No. 1 Tiger Woods tells reporters in Miyazaki, southwestern Japan, on Nov. 19 that he is still in favor of permitting women to play at the all-male Augusta National Golf Club but emphasized that he is not in a position to make the decision to end the club's sexist policy. Woods, in Miyazaki to play the Dunlop Phoenix tournament, spoke about the Nov. 18 New York Times editorial suggesting that he skip next year's Masters as a gesture against sexism at the permanent home of the tournament.
