JOC head Takeda speaks on IOC decision
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) president Tsunekazu Takeda speaks at a press conference in Tokyo on Nov. 30 after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) put off a vote over a proposal that baseball, softball and modern pentathlon be dropped from the Olympic program. The IOC decided at a general assembly meeting in Mexico City on Nov. 29 to put off any vote over the issue until after the 2004 Athens Olympics.
