Shimizu sets meet record to win Asama invitational

MATSUMOTO, Japan - Two-time Olympic medalist Hiroyasu Shimizu competes in the men's 500 meters of the Asama invitational at Asam Onsen International Skate Center in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, on Nov. 30. Shimizu won the race, clocking 35.41 seconds in the day's second race for a two-race total of 1 minute, 10.89 seconds.
