World Cup monument unveiled at Yokohama stadium
YOKOHAMA, Japan - A monument to commemorate the 2002 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by Japan and South Korea was unveiled at International Stadium Yokohama, venue of the final, on Dec. 3. The 1.2-meter tall monument bears a plaque saying, ''Wishing for the best future and the permanent friendship of the Japanese and South Korean people.''
