Ruling parties agree on quick passage of contingency bills
TOKYO, Japan - Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General Taku Yamasaki (C) and his counterparts from the ruling coalition New Komeito party and New Conservative Party agreed Dec. 5 to give priority to enacting a set of war contingency laws. The agreement stressed the need to strengthen the monitoring and patrol of Japan's neighboring seas.
