Katayama takes halfway lead at Nippon Series

TOKYO, Japan - Shingo Katayama added a 4-under-par 66 to his record-equaling opening round of 62 on Dec. 6, grabbing sole possession of the lead after two rounds of the season-ending Nippon Series JT Cup. Changing colors of his trademark cowboy hat, Katayama (in right photo) birdied four of the final six holes in a back-nine 31, but could only match par on the outward nine (in left photo).
