(2)Court rejects forced labor suits by Chinese
KYOTO, Japan - A lawyer for Chinese plaintiffs come out of the Kyoto District Court on Jan. 15, with banners calling a decision by the court as ''unjust.'' The court rejected a suit filed by former Chinese laborers and bereaved family members seeking compensation from a major steelmaker and the central government for forcibly bringing them to Japan and making them work in nickel mines in Kyoto Prefecture during World War II.
