Ultralow-power method developed for playing cell-phone movies
YOKOHAMA, Japan - Professor Masahiko Yoshimoto, who heads a research group at Kanazawa University, makes public Jan. 30 in Yokohama a method the group has developed of reducing the power needed to play movies on a cell phone by as much as 75%. Yoshimoto holds an experimental device showing off the new technology, at an electronics exhibition that opened in the city the same day.
