Russia may veto British-U.S. resolution on Iraq
BEIJING, China - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov gives a press conference at the Russian Embassy in Beijing on Feb. 28. Ivanov said that Russia may veto a British-U.S. draft resolution on Iraq that is under discussion in the U.N. Security Council, as well as any other resolution that implies the use of force. ''Russia has the right to veto in the U.N. Security Council and will use it if it is necessary in the interests of international stability,'' Ivanov said.
