U.S., Britain, Spain pull off vote at Security Council
NEW YORK, United States - U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan speaks at a news conference shortly after the United States, Britain and Spain withdrew their resolution on Iraq for a vote at the United Nations Security Council on March 17. Annan said that, acting on a request from the U.S., he will pull out U.N. weapons inspectors and other U.N. personnel from Iraq.
