Okinawa opens beaches for early arrival of 'summer'

NAHA, Japan - Children in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, swim at a Naha beach April 6 as beaches were officially opened to the public for the early arrival of summer. The temperature in Naha was a little over 19 Celsius in the morning, with the water temperature at around 22 C, slightly chilly for swimming.
