Daimaru appoints division chief as president

OSAKA, Japan - Tsutomu Okuda (R), president and chief operating officer of department store operator Daimaru Inc., shakes hands with Ryoichi Yamamoto, a division chief and his successor, at a press conference in Osaka on April 17. Yamamoto's appointment is subject to approval at a board meeting after an annual shareholders' meeting on May 22. Okuda will become chairman and chief executive officer (CEO).
