Kirin to sell 1 mil. yen whisky to mark 1953 coronation

TOKYO, Japan - Kirin Brewery Co. said May 29 it will sell six bottles of scotch whisky (photo) for 1 million yen each to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the coronation of British Queen Elizabeth II. Chivas Brothers Ltd. of Britain produced the whisky by blending mellowed malt of over 50 years, according to Kirin officials. The six bottles are among 255 bottles to be sold around the world.
