TEPCO begins electricity forecasts

TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) on June 23 beings ''electricity forecasts,'' providing information on the day's electricity supply capacity and expected maximum demand via television and radio broadcasts as well as its home page. The new service is aimed at encouraging users to save power ahead of possible power shortages over the summer.
