Ex-Seibu manager Ihara appointed skipper for Orix

TOKYO, Japan - Haruki Ihara (file photo), who recently stepped down as manager of the Seibu Lions, accepted a position as the new skipper of the Orix BlueWave on Oct. 7. Ihara will sign a contract with the Pacific League club after the completion of the regular season.
