Nissan Diesel to accept free transfer of shares from Renault

CHIBA, Japan - Louis Schweitzer, chairman of French automaker Renault SA, tells reporters in Chiba on Oct. 23 that struggling Japanese truck and bus maker Nissan Diesel Motor Co. will accept a free transfer of 14,552,947 of its common shares from Renault as part of its rehabilitation.
