Japan: Typhoon Dujuan Brings Widespread Flooding Across Kanto Region 6

Typhoon Dujuan brought torrential rain to Japan's Kanto region on September 21, triggering widespread flooding and landslides. At least 10 people were confirmed dead and four remained missing in Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures, while around 1.9 million people across eastern Japan were placed under evacuation orders at the height of the storm. Widespread transport disruptions were also reported, with more than 270 flights canceled.
