Mazda net profit doubles on robust sales, cost cuts

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Mazda Motor Corp. President Hisakazu Imaki said at a news conference Nov. 6 in Hiroshima that Mazda's group net profit for the six months to Sept. 30 doubled from a year earlier to 11.15 billion yen due to robust sales and greater cost cuts.
