(1)Akebono quits sumo, to become K-1 fighter
TOKYO, Japan - Former yokozuna Akebono (R) speaks at a press conference in a Tokyo hotel on Nov. 6, as popular American K-1 fighter Bob ''The Beast'' Sapp (L) watches. Akebono said he has resigned from the Japan Sumo Association and decided to become a K-1 martial arts fighter.
